PCJT Software Engineer BSc(Java Technology) Degree Program - Course Contents of the First Year


PCJT - BS Course Contents
PCJT is a two semester program which course contents to be completed within one year. Complete theoretical knowledge of the Java Programming language is covered in a one semester and practical and professional aspect is completely covered in the other semester. Course contents of two semesters are independent from each other. Therefore candidates can select either of course contents belongs to either of semesters for them to complete as their first semester.
  1. Semester one is to train students for CCJP (Chamber Certified Java Programmer) and OCJP (Oracle Certified Java Programmer) international Examinations offered by the Chamber of chartered Java Professionals International USA/Greece and Oracle Corporation USA. Course contents of the CCJP Examination is exactly equal to the OCJP Examination conducted by the Oracle Corporation. Candidates are allowed to qualified with the either of examinations.
  2. Semester two is to train candidates for JSAD (Java Standalone Application Developer) practical and Professional training program delivered by the authorized training centre and assessed and quality of educations accredited by the Chamber of Chartered Java Professionals International USA/Greece.
The Semester 01
OCJP(Oracle Certified Java Programmer) or CCJP (Chamber Certified Java Programmer) Java SE Core Theory Examination
Introduction
Complete Core theories of Java programming language to accomplish the development tasks in JavaEE and JavaME are completely dependent on complete knowledge in Java SE platform. The OCJP/CCJP examination is formulated to cover 100% core concepts and core theories of Java SE platfom. Chamber recommends all prospective Java professionals to certify with OCJP/CCJP examination for them to become true professionals in the field of Java Technology.
The Scope
CCJP or OCJP examination is completely a theoretical examination which checks the complete core conceptual knowledge in Java Programming Language. The scope of this examination does not cover related technologies to be known by the candidate to develop a software solution.
CCJP is a Charter Requirement
The Charter defines that any candidate who expects to become a Chartered Java Professional should certify his/her knowledge with this theoretical examination hence it covers the complete core theories of Java programming language and their applicability to develop a fast and efficient Java application.
The Course Content
The course content of the examination is developed by the team of professionally qualified industry experts and fully qualified team of academics of the board of the curriculum development of the Chamber of Chartered Java Professionals. The Course content of the examination is being subjected to be reviewed timely and hence added new contents relevant to the theoretical and core conceptual advancements by the open source community.
Exemptions
Exemptions are considered for candidates who expect to get the Charter status if they are qualified with trade certifications or vendor certifications which are approved by the Council of the Chamber of Chartered Java professionals.
Vendor or Trade Certifications Exempted by the Council of the Chamber of Chartered Java Professionals Council of the chamber of Chartered Java Professionals exempted only one certification up to date considering all aspects of the examination as a theoretical examination for a candidate to qualify as a Chartered Java Professional. Hence a candidate needs not repeat CCJP examination if he/she possesses certificate of thes exempted examination. Oracle Certified Java Programmer (OCJP) Examination conducted by Oracle Corporation USA is the only exempted trade certification by the Chamber up to now

Introduction
Java Standalone Application Developer (JSAD) is a practical training program formulated and introduced to fulfill the skill component of a prospective Java SE professional. The JSAD program comprises of two parts. Under part I candidates are trained to develop an Architectural design for Human Resource, Production, Marketing and Finance Departments of a real client.
Scope
